What is Queer Voices?
Queer Voices is a forum for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to explore relevant issues in welcoming space. It is the goal of Queer Voices to bring raise awareness of issues within the community and of the issues the community faces. While we recognize the importance of the social justice movement and join our editorial voice to it, we also recognize the value in addressing other topics important to the queer community.
How do I report inappropriate content?
While both our contributors and editors strive to ensure the content of Queer Voices is free of plagiarism, hateful or offensive speech, grammatical/spelling errors, or incorrect statements of fact we do acknowledge that sometimes inappropriate content can get by our quality-control system.
To bring these issues to our attention, simply contact us to flag these errors for our review.
Can contributors use pen names?
Although we encourage our contributors to use their real names, we do allow this on a case-by-case basis. While recognizing real names encourage transparency, we know that some topics can be discussed more openly when privacy is ensured.
How can I write for Queer Voices?
We are always accepting applications from prospective contributors. You may apply here.
- To become a contributor:
- the editorial team must agree that your voice will mesh with the work of Queer Voices,
- your writing must be to a sufficient standard of quality, and
- you must identify within the LGBTQIA+ community.
